[Paleo, Keto, Whole30] Fish Rub - Mom’s

Mom’s mix of spices for a quick seared fish on work nights with TONS of flavor. Have your fish flaky tasty and fully seasoned in less than 8 minutes if you make the bulk batch in advance. Serve your seasoned fish with veggies, on top of a salad, or by itself! It’s also not just for fish! Great with shrimp, chicken, and potatoes of all colors!

Ingredients you’ll need: Many recipes = many ingredients. Cooking should be fun and not stressful or confusing. Contrary to my mom’s beliefs, EVERY ingredient isn’t always needed. Additionally, not always does it have to be that specific thing to be delicious. Substitutions and alternatives will be shared here in addition to original recipe.

For 2 Servings of Fish:

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp paprika (not smoked)

1/4 tsp cumin

1/8 tsp corriander

1/8 tsp ground thyme

pinch of cayenne to taste (optional)

Create.

Mix all of the ingredients well with a small spoon and prepare each fish filet with 1 tsp of rub on one side. Massaging it in well and shake off any excess.

Bulk batch for later: Place in an airtight container.

  • 2 Tbsp of salt

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp paprika

  • 1 Tbsp cumin

  • 1/2 Tbsp corriander

  • 1/2 Tbsp thyme

  • 1/4 Tbsp cayenne
